The Romanian Environmental Partnership Foundation registered the Transylvania Authentica trademark at the Romanian Patent and Trademarks Office in 2007.

Products and services are able to use this trademark if they respect the trademark awarding criteria of the program.

The right of using the trademark initially is valid for 3 years, in case the applicant accepts the periodical controls and respects the criteria. This period can be extended if the producer/service provider respects the same eligibility standards.

The use of the trademark:

• offers a distinguished place of the certified products/services among other products,
• provides information for the consumer and a guarantee for the excellent quality,
• encourages the producers/service providers to respect and to improve the quality of the products,
• it contributes to the increasing of the product’s popularity on the market.
