The Turda Festival is an annual cultural and agricultural celebration that honors the history of the greater Turda region, while promoting options for a sustainable future.
This was the first time that certified Transylvania Authentica products were presented to the consumers. The high quality and unique features of the products, the strong, consistent branding, and the side-by-side location of the stands captured the attention of both visitors and organizers.
The Transylvania Authentica program was represented by Erzsébet Gáll with home made jams, syrups and stewed fruit, by Etelka Páll with traditional hand-woven pure-wool traditional Szekler carpets made of wool dyed with natural plants, by Júlia Simó with stylized Transylvanian noble, civil and peasant dresses, clothes, and other textiles made of natural material, and by Tamás Jancsó with hand-made wooden pottery.
Those participating in the event as exhibitors or as visitors coming from different corners of the world derived new energy and joy experiencing the customs and traditions of Transylvania kept alive even in the 21st century.
